The Weaverville Water System supplies drinking water to  all developed areas within the Corporate Limits of the Town of Weaverville.  In addition, the System serves customers in areas of Buncombe County in areas adjacent to the Town Limits, in the Reems Creek Valley and in areas along US Highway 19/23 North toward Madison County.

The Weaverville Water System is owned and operated by the Town of Weaverville.  The Town of Weaverville was established in 1875 and in 1913 the voters approved the construction of a municipal water system. The Weaverville Water System has operated continuously since that time.
